Opening of the Blackbird Drivers’ Club featuring The Official Formula 1 Opus

The Official Formula 1 Opus takes pride of place at the newly opened Blackbird Drivers’s Club in Hong Kong.

The Blackbird Drivers’ Club is the ultimate destination for the discerning automotive enthusiasts. Recently opening in Hong Kong, the club is home to a state of the art race simulator, similar to those used by Formula 1 teams such as Ferrari, Williams and Mercedes.

Alongside the simulator The Blackbird Driver’s Club also houses an extensive collection of curated automotive memorabilia and an extensive book collection including The Official Formula 1 Opus. The Opus makes a fitting centre piece to the club’s lounge area, reflecting the quality and prestige of the surroundings.

On hand at the opening of the Club was legendary endurance racer Derek Bell MBE. During his visit to the Black Bird Drivers’ Club Derek performed several exhibition laps in the club’s simulator and shared his experiences with guests. Derek Bell MBE is a five times champion at the Le Mans 24 hour race. Opus recently announced the forthcoming publication of The 24 Hours Le Mans Opus.

The Blackbird Drivers’ Club is open to the public Monday to Friday, 11am – 8pm. You can learn more about the Club on their website. The club is the latest venture of The Blackbird Automotive Group. The group was founded to service the needs of the most ardent private automotive enthusiasts.
