Spurs legends gather for Opus

Tottenham greats past and present gathered earlier this week to be photographed for the forthcoming Spurs Opus, a celebration of the 125th anniversary of one of football’s most iconic clubs.

Legends from yesteryear such as Cliff Jones, Bobby Smith and Chris Hughton rubbed shoulders with stars of today as Opus captured the moment with the Polaroid 20×24 Studio camera.

Club captain Ledley King, Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Dawson were just a few of the big names who stood in front of the all-seeing lens as the Opus team completed the shoot.

‘We spent the first day of the shoot at Spurs Lodge with the current first team squad,’ said editor Justyn Barnes. ‘The players all took the time to get dressed up for their photographs and I hope the fans will agree the results are fantastic.

‘The only problem was keeping the French boys still long enough to photograph. Didier Zokora, Pascal Chimbonda and Younes Kaboul couldn’t stop dancing and Didier seemed very keen to take his shirt off.

‘We took the camera to White Hart Lane on the second day and captured some of the club legends like Cliff and Bobby.’

Featuring exclusive interviews with Jimmy Greaves, Dave Mackay, Ossie Ardiles and Jurgen Klinsmann, as well as revealing personal insight from current chairman Daniel Levy, the Opus will offer a unique perspective on the history of the first English club to claim a European trophy.

It will be available in three separate Icons Editions Legends, Captains and Club and will be released later this year.
