Off Season Trip to Circuit de la Sarthe
Opus had the special privilege of visiting the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, the venue for the most famous endurance race in the world – the 24 Heures du Mans. The circuit was closed off so that a team from Opus could take photographs of the circuit “off-season”. The access that was granted is naturally only available to the lucky few, precisely the reason why the Official 24 Heures du Mans Opus will take the readers on an all access photographic journey so they too will be able to experience the “hidden” Le Mans.
Prominent photographer Steve Theodorou, who is a veteran fan of the famous Le Mans endurance race for over 3 decades, had the following words: “Having come to the famous race over 20 times and only knowing the spectacle of huge crowds, vibrant noise and electric atmosphere to be here now and feel an eerie and ghost like atmosphere makes me truly appreciate this amazing race. When I return in June and view the race through my lens this very special assignment will make me appreciate this unique event even more.”
